The Root Cellar has always been, and will always be, dedicated to bringing the freshest, most delicious produce right to your fingertips. That includes strawberries grown just up the road at Galey’s Farm, yuzu from our farmer friend’s backyard and apples straight from the Okanagan and – but it also includes specialty, seasonal items from further afield, like that mango whic h tastes like sunshine and those oranges you dream about all year long.
We want your experience of food to be exciting and inspiring, so if we can introduce you to a new fruit or veggie while you’re here, that will make us very happy indeed!

We’re all about keeping our pals close, but our farmers? Even closer! We’re so proud to work in partnership with over 250 local BC farmers, producers and suppliers – an ever-growing network that allows us to snap up the very best of what our incredible corner of the world has to offer.
We promise to source starting from as close to home as possible, so if we can get you a veggie that’s been grown up the road in Saanichton, we will!
