Did you know that here at The Root Cellar, we have our very own beehives? Nestled on the roof of our McKenzie Corner location, next to our sweet Wally, a 1919 Ford Model T, are two bee hives that help to provide pollinators to our farmer friends in the Blenkinsop Valley. Our beekeeper works diligently throughout the year to care for our bees so they can produce The Root Cellar’s very own ROOF TOP HONEY!Light, sweet, and floral – our honey captures the flavours of the Saanich farmland we are surrounded by! Stir it in, drizzle it over or indulge by the spoonful, shop our Root Cellar Honey at both locations!
