Hi Root Cellar Community,

There’s something about having all of the seasons of weather in one day that makes me madly love where we live. It’s a reminder not to take life too seriously, to not be too rigid in your planning, and to always be looking for the sunshine that is never too far away.

I am looking forward to June-uary and all of the restaurant-dining I can possibly fit into my calendar and my belly. As a lover of our local food scene, a loather of washing dishes, and an entrepreneur with a lot of balls in the air right now, I quite frankly may never cook again…

I’m making a list of restaurants to reserve at, like it’s my Christmas list and I’ll be checking them off one by one, then I may just repeat, and repeat and repeat, until our new store is open and home cooking looks more appealing again. Thankful for things heading in the right direction, and so happy to support our local restaurateurs! Maybe we’ll see you out there beyond the plexi glass… …

**Then I’ll go home and eat local strawberries until my fingers are stained along with every white shirt I own. Because life is good, summer is coming, and nothing at all tastes quite like the first local berries…
