I sell groceries.
I am a grocer.
We own a food market.
I am very proud of what we have built.
But it IS just a grocery store(s).
Yes what drives us is elevating food experiences, nurturing sustainable food systems, decreasing food insecurity, growing the values
of mealtime…. All that fun + fluffy stuff. But at the end of the day. WE OWN GROCERY STORES. It’s not glamorous.
We get a lot of community support and love for doing what we do the way that we do. But often my imposter syndrome chirps ‘don’t they realize we just own grocery stores?’ or ‘i hope they don’t find out i didn’t go to college.’
But today on the eve of International Women’s Day, and having received some words that hit me right in the heart recently…
I AM A WOMAN WHO OWNS GROCERY STORES
💚Grocery stores that people NEVER WANT TO LEAVE.
💚Grocery stores that people want to take ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS in.
💚Grocery stores that are compared to a TRIP TO DISNEYLAND.
I AM A GROCER ⬆️
XO
Warmly
Daisy
PS: proudly and happily shining some light on #internationalwomensday but not willing to discredit my amazing husband who’s heart is as big as mine and whose passion is as fierce and who is my business partner and best friend.
I DO believe that women are unstoppable.
I DO believe that we need to remove barriers that limit many women from manifesting their worth.
I do NOT believe that we need make men less to make women more.
