IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS RELATED TO COVID-19 PLEASE DO NOT ENTER OUR STORE
STORE ENTRANCE LINE UP & SANITIZED CARTS
Our ‘new normal’ means there is now just one entrance and one exit to the Root Cellar (this applies to all departments including the garden centre within the Potting Shed, and the Coffee Project). There’s plenty of signage directing you to our new walkway lined with social distance spacers and because it’s us, a few fruit & veggie one liners!
At the store entrance all carts are freshly sanitized for you. Please note, we are limiting the number of customers in the store at any one time to further assist with social distancing.
***REUSABLE BAG UPDATE May 4th – We have resumed accepting reusable bags (and produce bags too)! In accordance with BC Ministry of Health, reusable bags are only to be handled by the customer and must not be placed on the counter. Bags must stay in your cart and groceries must be self-packed.
We’ve installed a plexi screen to decrease the exposure factor for our beloved cashiers and our customers. We may be getting fancy but please… shop for more less often, stay home if you can and do shop for your friends and neighbours.
AVALON BOTTLE RETURNS
In order to ensure heightened hygiene for our team members & customers, we will no longer be accepting empty glass Avalon bottle returns at this current time.
CHANGES IN THE CHOP SHOP
All items in our full service deli and meat case can now be found pre-packed – our deli meat selection is next to the bread racks in the centre of the store, and your favourite locally made bacon, pies quiches and sausage rolls, along with all of our deli salads (tubbed up to be sure), are in the coolers in the Coffee Project. And there’s still our delicious house made pizzas of course…
NEW OPENING HOURS FOR THE COFFEE BAR…
Our coffee bar is remaining open with new hours from 8am – 3pm for lattes and locally baked loveliness (albeit a smaller selection).
